Looks like Beasley solved some of the log jam at F. He will not be around long after the lock out.
Question still remains, can Williams play SF. If not, we will see Love gone via trade or free agency. Yeah, I said it. If Williams proves to be a PF and plays defense with some passion. He will be the long term answer at PF.
I suspect he is a PF. Which puts us right back to the conundrum of when we had Jefferson and Love. You have to pick one and ship the other out.
Which means we are just spinning our wheels. Nothing new for the Wolves.
And after torturing him, Kahn fired Rambis. And rumors are strong about a dull choice of Bickerstaff as coach.

The possible lockout in the NBA is drawing a lot of questions on everyone’s mind. But the biggest question that is playing on the TWolves’ management’s mind is whether Rubio will finally decide to play with them. He hasn’t given any conclusive answers yet and so it further fuels the confusion but it will give the team a new surge of hope as they aim to reach a more competitive level in the league.

A legit point, but Joseph literally was wanted by EVERYONE. One of the TOP point guards in the nation, and one of the most-recruited. It came down to him wanting to either play with his brother (Gophers) or his high school buddies (Texas). Missing out on a Top 10 recruit is less concerning to me than the “keeping players on board” aspect. The guy leaving to be closer to his cancer-stricken sister is understandable. Cobbs leaving is more concerning, and Maverick Ahanimisi is not that great a replacement. I expect, though, that if Coach Smith needs an extra scholarship next season, Ahanimisi will likewise be announcing a “transfer.” As for next year, we can’t get worse with off-court distractions than this past season. If Royce White comes back and behaves himself this time, that’s where scholarship #6 will go and the Gophers will be arguably well-stocked to a solid run. They’re still a team with a lot of talent, even if this year’s recruiting class is Tubby’s least-impressive with the Gophs.

I’m more concerned that he cannot keep players on the team, and is unable to recruit top talent.
Joseph not coming to the U of M is a big red flag in my book. Tie that in with all the departures this off-sesaon what do we really have to look forward to next year?

The racino is being stopped by DFL leadership alone in order to protect their largest contributor. This is all about tribal money and the massive influence it buys. The tribes even fund some of the “anti-gambling” organizations opposing the racino. The handful of social conservative Republicans would have no chance of defeating the racino. They represent the 18% that not only oppose the racino, but also the lottery and any other form of gambling. Just think, the latest poll shows 84% of Democrats in Minnesota support the racino, yet it can’t pass one committee–all controlled by Democrats. Whatever happened to representative government?

I don’t think any team with its whole franchise sitting out would fare better than our wolves. I think McHale has done a great job, and gives a polished and honest press conference. As for the GM posistion, –don’t think that the other 29 teams around the league aren’t aware of Fred Hoiberg’s smarts, savy, work ehthic and charisma and his other positive atributes that made him such a productive player. If we pass on him, it really shows how incompetent this organization is, –and will give another city and team reason for hope.
