Love is Most Improved

The Timberwolves Kevin Love transformed himself from a sixth-man a season ago, to the NBA’s leading rebounder in one season and an All-Star team member. Word is, on Thursday the third-year player will be named the NBA’s Most Improved Player, an award sure to inflate his market value when contract renewal time comes around.

Love averaged 15.2 boards this season and set an new league record for most consecutive double-double performances at 53 straight games, two better than the modern record set by Moses Malone at 51 games, which he posted in the 1982-83 season.

Love may well be enjoying some a href=”http://www.famous-smoke.com/brand/arturo+fuente+cigars”>Arturo Fuente cigars over his considerable achievement, and who can blame him? For once, this is a record of which it can truly be said, “This doesn’t happen often.”

Now all we need is for that kind of passion for improvement to ripple throughout the rest of the Wolves’ squad and maybe we won’t be talking about the team’s chances in the NBA Lottery.
