Streak over, but still historic
Kevin Love’s streak of double-doubles came to an historic end against Golden State as the Wolves fell 77-100 to the Warriors. While Love set a new record with 53 straight double-doubles, it’s a bit sad the streak ended.
Still, no one’s making funeral arrangements for the Wolves just yet; prior to the Golden State game, the Wolves posted a rare pair of back-to-back wins and reached 17 wins on the season. A total of 20 no longer seems out of the question, and who knows? They may even reach 21 or 22 wins before the season’s over.
And as Love himself tweeted after the loss: Why not start another streak Wednesday night?
