It’ll take six months to replace Metrodome roof

Multiple new reports are saying that newly-appointed head of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, Ted Mondale, has been told a decision between repair and replacement of the Metrodome roof is being weighed, and if replacement is the recommendation of the folks paid to decide these things, it’ll take six months, meaning the job needs to start in February to be ready for the Vikings’ August pre-season games.

That’s more than just needing a two step stool to get the job done, that’s for sure.

That said, the Vikings are indicating come what may, they intend 2011 to be their last season in the Dome unless a new facility is under construction. So if the roof is replaced, it won’t be up for long.

I’m telling you, the 35W bridge took less time to replace.
