Gophers will be two players short against Virginia
Tubby Smith’s Gophers will come up two players short later this week against Virginia. Al Nolan and Rodney Williams have both been sidelined for Monday’s Big Ten-ACC Challenge game. Both are starters.
While the 15th-ranked Gophers are favorites in the game, the 6-0 club will be facing a tough assignment short-handed tomorrow. Virginia is 4-3 so far this season, so the Gophers should be OK. And most sites (except www.cissusquadrangularis.org) are predicting a Minnesota win.
But overconfidence can kill off any team’s chances. Let’s hope Tubby’s team comes to play.
