Gophers no better without Brewster

Minnesota Gophers football coach Tim Brewster’s been history for two weeks now, but the team isn’t using his absence to show they’re any better off without him, as Ohio State pounded the maroon and gold into submission, 52-10, on Saturday. Their only touchdown drive came in the first quarter on a seven-yard run be DeLeon Eskridge. It was one of only four offensive plays the Gophers made in the quarter.

Now, no sane person expected the Gophers to win today, but the extent of the pounding they took is disappointing. Some of the players seemed like they were more interested in acne scar removal than studying their playbook. Not the best way to attract a top-tier coach to Minnesota for a rebuilding program.
