Wolves miss opening with a win by thatmuch

Playing the Sacramento Kings at Target center for their season opener wasn’t the toughest assignment in the world; but for a team like Minnesota that won only fifteen games last season.. and most of them by healthy margins… just about every game is a tough assignment.

But that was last year and about eight of those players are gone. Tonight, the Wolves lost, but they scored 116 points in doing so and finished just one point behind their opponent. The last time the Wolves scored that many points was against the Dallas Mavericks in on February 5, 2010. In fact, last season the Wolves only scored 116 points or more twice. Both were wins.

So despite the loss, things are actually looking better after this off-seasons roster changes. Wolves 2.0 under David Kahn might be off to an 0-1 loss… but they’re not a team asleep at the wheel so far, and none of their roster members need weight loss products… much.

That’s a decent start.
