Two sources reporting Brewster is fired
Two sources… 1500espn.com and GopherIllustrated.com… are reporting that Tim Brewster has been informed he won’t be brought back next year as coach of the Minnesota Gophers football team. Break out the cigars, if you’re a smoker.
I was never a fan of the selection of Brewster to run the Gophers program because no matter how good he was as a recruiter, he was a career position coach who had never before been a head coach. Maybe this time Minnesota will hire smarter.
According to both sources, Brewster has agreed to coach out the remainder of the season, but this leaves Minnesota free to begin their search for his replacement immediately, which is important in terms of recruiting.
