Will Tubby land first recruits of 2011 class this weekend?
Gophers hoops coach Tubby Smith is hoping to land at least one, and perhaps two, recruits this weekend; so far he’s landed no one for his recruiting class of 2011.
The two recruits visiting the Gophers this weekend are Naadir Tharpe of Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, a floor-general-style point guard that could start as a freshman when Al Nolen graduates; the other is Josh Olgesby of Cedar Rapids (IA) Washington High, a shooting guard who is quite a shooter and would replace Blake Hoffarber, who will graduate after this season; Olgesby would compete with Devoe Joseph for playing time.
Neither player needs to learn how to lose the belly fat, as they are superb athletes and ranked Top 150 nationally.
