Booty gets the boot
While most observers figured the underachieving, high-cost QB Tavaris Jackson would be the odd man out when Brett Farve became a Viking, it was actually affordable and promising backup J.D. Booty who got the boot on final cut day.
If no other team claims him, Booty will probably be welcomed back to the Vikings’ practice squad, but that seems unlikely at this point. In the meantime, the Vikings now enter the season with a much-improved QB depth chart compared to last season; Favre, Rosenfels and T-Jack? That’s depth, not truck accessories!
