Gophers seem headed to Big Dance
It’s still early, but Coach Tubby Smith seems to have his Minnesota Gophers headed to a solid berth in the NCAA Tournament in only his second season with the squad. This season, no one’s looking for the exit signs to Williams Arena until the last shot is taken, and with a record of 18-5 overall, 6-5 in the Big 10, Minnesota is looking for real for the first time in maybe a decade.
With seven games remaining prior to the Big 10 tournament, the Gophers seem capable of winning at least five of those games, which would put them at 23-7 overall, 11-7 in the Big 10, which should make the Gophers a lock of at least an eight-seed or higher. Looks like a great time to be part of the Gopher Nation!
