Wolves on a streak that doesn’t involve losing
For the first time this season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are on a long streak and it doesn’t involve losing! And no, you read that right, you don’t need eyeglasses. Under new coach Kevin McHale, no longer a team president, the Wolves have finally shown signs of life, winning their last four games, as well as six of their last eight games.
That’s quite unexpected, considering the losing streaks they have achieves so far this season. Of course, the Wolves are far from being a healthy, winning franchise just yet; there are still far more losses than wins on their overall record. Yet the team is finally in double-digits when it comes to the number of victories on the season.
This streak of winning 75 percent of their games will have to last most of the rest of the season to salvage any playoff hopes this year, but at least it’s some improvement in performance. While he wasn’t a great team president, perhaps Kevin McHale’s title should have been coach all along.
